We had a rough (but great!) night and spent most of the day wishing it was dinnertime so we could eat the rest of the leftover tomato and cabbage soup from last weekend’s dinner party. It was a long day, but the soup was that good — basically you make tomato soup (skip the brown sugar; also possibly halve the recipe) and then simmer cabbage in it for an entire two hours until it just melts when you bite into it. Today we poached eggs in the leftovers and had it with this brown bread (recommended!) also from Saturday.
