M kindly decided to throw a dinner party in our apartment, and it was the most delicious thing ever: this roast chicken with lemon & thyme (referred to throughout the cooking process as “The Lady”), mashed potatoes (mashed with the bottle of cooking wine) and gravy (from The Lady’s pan juices), a double recipe of these brussels sprouts, this chocolate cake with softly whipped cream, and infinity bottles of white wine. Perfection.
