Dinner for an empty pantry: miso soup made by JMM with the last sweet potato cubed and simmered in it, poured over buckwheat noodles and served with a stray beer from the fridge. And for dessert, cake for an empty pantry: a half-recipe of this rosemary/olive oil/chocolate cake baked in my tiniest round metal bowl with buckwheat flour substituting regular flour, just one egg, and no milk.
