Poke (pronounced like the first two syllables of Pokemon) is basically any seafood salad with added spices and raw onions, although ahi is most common. We spent the trip buying up any variation we could find, and here are four unusual ones we had for lunch along with avocado, mango, pickled ginger, and wasabi soy sauce: octopus sesame poke, kimchi sea snail (!) poke, and mussel poke.
