needs more salt

One of our worse habits is a tendency to totally forgot about fancy treats we have lying around the house. This time it was the vacuum-packed Harry & David cured salmon that had been sitting on top of the pantry for a while, which we pulled out and had with a lemon-y avocado and escarole salad, dill sprigs, sour cream mixed with fennel seeds, capers, the olives that JMM’s mom grew and cured herself, the buckwheat sourdough (!) I made the other week, and Moo Thunder stout. Sometimes the best dinners are the ones that just require assembly.
